Diego Sucuzhanay’s life changed for good when his brother Jose was killed in a hate crime in Bushwick. Saturday December 12th, at 11 a.m., a gathering for Jose’s death anniversary will be held at the office of Make the Road, at 301 Grove St.

Animal rights activists gathered Tuesday morning to confront Fabian Henderson, who threw his pit bull Oreo off the roof of a Red Hook building in June. Henderson was set to be sentenced for animal cruelty.
