Police take down man with machete

A police officer fired 13 times and shot a man in both his legs Sunday night when they responded to a call and he opened the door with a machete in hand. The shots came after the man did not respond to pepper spray. Police were responding to a call from the man’s daughter, the New York Times reports. Our reporter Danielle Bengsch is on the scene. Two police officers are outside of the man’s home in East Flatbush. More coming soon.
