A man brandishing a fake firearm behind Raoul Wallenberg School (P.S. 194) was shot dead by police. Officers from the 61st Precinct responded to a call of a man with a gun at 3:10 p.m. When they arrived behind the Gerritsen Beach neighborhood school, police encountered a white male, 22, who pointed a phony silver pistol at the officers. A uniformed officer fired three rounds at the man, striking him an unknown number of times. EMS transported the man to Coney Island Hospital where he later died.
