The Greenpoint Memorial Day Parade will go on.

Members of the St. Stanislaus Memorial American Legion Post were working on ways to curb their parade route by 25 percent, in conjunction with new rules stemming from citywide budget cuts.

Luckily, parade organizers coordinated with the 94th precinct to come up with an amenable solution, where the route is shortened by one-and-a-half blocks.
