I was hoping to see more discussion of the Nets.. you know, the team he's buying, as opposed to an arena project. When Prokhorov sounds exasperated because you keep bringing up the arena, I can see why- he clearly cares less about all of that than he does about creating a winner. Questions about possible free agent targets would have been more interesting, even if he couldn't completely answer them due to tampering rules.

Additionally, Prokhorov is infamous for bringing dozens of prostitutes with him on various trips, including his 2006 trip to Courchevel when he was detained for 4 days on suspicion of making prostitutes available to his guests.

I wish the interviewer had asked Prokhorov more about his relationship with Mr. Putin and Prokhorov's sponsorship of the "Putin youth" Nashi organization. Since he is a newcomer to the States, he is obviously trying to establish a positive image for himself by talking about his intelligentsia family and his mining experience. In reality, Prokhorov's father was a member of the KGB and listening to the Voice of America was part of his job and not a sign of liberal thinking. And considering that Prokhorov was a majority stakeholder at NN it is hardly likely that he needed approval of the "community" to turn NN into a globally recognized company--this is simply PR.

I like the interview. I think that it approaches very good the personality of Prokhorov to the public. You see Prokhorov, his personality, his desires, his lack of fear...
You see a man proud of him, proud of everything he has done until now; a man who thinks that he would be able to change the world if this was his aim.
Good for Vinnie.
