Marty Markowitz, Brooklyn borough president, has said Mother Teresa will get a special honor on what would have been her 100th birthday. On Aug. 26, the borough building lit with blue and white lights in her memory. Mother Teresa died in 1997.  To read more, please read Markowitz’ statement.
