As part of a major revamp to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, a five-block section of upscale brownstones, condos and businesses in Brooklyn Heights could be demolished under eminent domain, NBC is reporting. The construction, which is expected to cost $250 million and affect areas around the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Sands Street and Atlantic Avenue, is scheduled to start in 2020.
