Brooklyn Hospital Wing Closed to Prevent Bed Bugs from Biting

The emergency room at Kings County Hospital was shut down while exterminators worked to rid the wing of one bed bug. A spokeswoman for the hospital said a patient was transported by ambulance to Kings County and “there was a bed bug.” “As a precaution, the room the patient was in was fumigated,” Hope Mason, a spokeswoman, told the Daily News. “No other bedbugs were found.”
