Officer Alfonso Mendez, 30, had his gun and badge taken away from him and will likely face charges for refusing to help Briana Ojeda, 11, who he found in the throes of an asthma attack.

Mendez pulled Ojeda’s mother over as she drove her daughter to the hospital, but claimed he didn’t know CPR, which the child needed. Briana Ojeda died an hour later at Long Island College Hospital.
