Bed-Stuy Woman Charged in Death of 4-Year-Old

Carlota Brett-Pierce, 30, was charged with second-degree assault, among other charges, in connection with the death of her 4-year-old, 15-pound daughter.
Judge Leonard P. Rienzi ordered her held on $300,000 bail.
