Gov. David Paterson will include the renaming of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel for Governor Hugh L. Carey in a state Legislature special session. Carey was the 51st governor of New York, and was born in Park Slope in 1919. The reason for the special session next Monday, is ”to address the $315 million current-year deficit and additional legislation that was not completed at the end of regular session, ” according to a state press release.
