A Brooklyn woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for the murder of her newborn daughter, New York Daily News reports. Laura Sergio, 28, reportedly smothered her baby and then got amnesia about it.  Unless a court hears her appeal, Sergio could go to prison as early as this Thursday. Her lawyer maintains that the proof is not beyond reasonable doubt.
