Canarsie resident and autograph collector Louis Schlamowitz talked about his connection to fallen Libya leader Muammar el-Qaddafi.
Over the last few decades Schlamowitz has written letters to world leaders asking for their autographs. He has collection at least 6,000 autographs, including one from President Barrack Obama. Since his first request in 1979, Qaddafi has sent Schlamowitz a signed picture of himself and four letters—including one filled with controversial opinions about America, Israel, and the West.
Muammar el-Qaddafi was killed last week. “He was a good pen pal,” Schlamowitz said.
