After a dispute with its landlord, Grimaldi’s, Brooklyn’s iconic pizza joint, will serve its final pie on November 28, then open one day later at 1 Front Street. This moves comes after its landlord, Dorothy Waxman, refused to renew Grimaldi’s lease, which expires at the end of this month. Last year, Waxman tried to evict Grimaldi’s for not paying its rent and city taxes on time, but a judge ordered her to accept late payments and keep the pizzeria open.

Grimaldi’s serves one of the city’s most famous pizzas, and has attracted many celebrities, including First Lady Michelle Obama. Read more about the move on the Brooklyn Eagle.
