With categories such as Most Like Owner, Least Useful Trick, Sexy Senior, and Best Kisser, even the rain and cold weather could not stop the doggie contestants of all and any breed, and their owners, from having a blast at the Brooklyn Mutt Show last weekend.
Billed as Brooklyn’s “fun alternative to Westminster,” the show ran for its third successful year at the Brooklyn Lyceum in Park Slope. The show ended Sunday with the Best of the Beasts category. And even though winner Shaggy, a Sheepdog-mix, had his eyes covered in fur, it seemed like he was grinning when his young owner, Giona, said the day he adopted him was “the best day of my life.”
