Long Island’s Asbestos May Bring Hockey To Barclays Center
The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, where the New York Islanders’ hockey team plays its home games — might be filled with asbestos, a cancer-causing fiber, according to a state investigation.This could bring the team to the $1-billion, asbestos-free Prospect Heights arena if the lethal substance isn’t removed by the start of next season.
