Brooklyn Proves Perilous for Pedestrians and Cyclists in 2012

In 2012, Brooklyn had more reported pedestrian and cyclist deaths than any other borough, according to a preliminary report from the Department of Motor Vehicles. A total of 48 people died as a result of collisions with cars on the road last year. Alarmingly, many fatalities were hit-and-run incidents, in which no drivers have yet been charged.
