Sanitation Department Extends Debris Collection in Areas Affected by Sandy

Debris collection after Hurricane Sandy was set to end on Dec. 31, was extended until Jan. 14, again to Feb. 18, and now the collection has been extended indefinitely.

The hardest-hit areas after Hurricane Sandy will continue to have debris cleanup indefinitely. Families cleaning up damage caused by the storm can leave debris out one day before their normal garbage pickup.
