City Panel Votes to Close Eight Struggling Brooklyn Schools
Eight struggling schools in Brooklyn and 14 schools in Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx are scheduled to close after a vote by the city’s Panel for Educational Policy last night at Brooklyn Tech HS. Hundreds of parents and teachers gathered at the meeting to protest against the closure.
