After the soda ban was overturned, Brooklyn movie theaters, along with the soft drink industry and civil rights groups who’d filed a lawsuit against the ban, breathed a sigh of relief. If the ban had taken effect on schedule – Tuesday March 12 – theaters and restaurants across the city would have had to undergo a lot of changes to keep sugary drinks larger than 16 oz off their menu.
