The man killed in the Ocean Hill fire last night has been formally identified, the Daily News reports. He was 35-year-old Eddie Ortiz. Police discovered a 25-year-old woman dead in her apartment at 250 Lott Avenue in Canarsie around 2am last night. The victim, identified as Michelle Fernandez, died of head trauma. Police have not released any arrests as of Thursday even. Still just a DCPI report, but we’ll let you know when we have more details. Share

A yellow school bus struck a 4-year-old boy at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 49th Street in Sunset Park just after 8 a.m. Amrom Altman, a resident of Sunset Park, died at the scene. Police identified the driver only as a white male, age 32. Share

An 11-year-old boy was killed in a fire on West 24th Street on Coney Island early this afternoon. Police responding to the fire found the boy unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at Coney Island Hospital. Share
