Police have identified 24-year-old Adam Bilal in the Sunday afternoon shooting that injured three people, including a 5-year-old girl. Cops say Bilal opened fire on Halsey Street in Bed-Stuy, where Syniah Herndon was playing outside her house. She was shot in the leg and is recovering. Share

A police officer fired 13 times and shot a man in both his legs Sunday night when they responded to a call and he opened the door with a machete in hand. Otis "Junior" Edmonds was a man of exacting routines. Every morning he rose at 5, walked out of his house, went to the Classon Grocery on the corner of Prospect Place, bought his newspaper and his scratch-off lottery tickets, got in his car and read the newspaper before heading to work. Except for yesterday when Edmond, 63, was shot in the head as sat behind the wheel of his burgundy Mazda 626, reading his paper.
